We Are Thankful for You
As we approach Thanksgiving this year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible work we do together at Kitchen One for One. Whether you’re a volunteer, one of our generous supporters, or both, your dedication and compassion for those we serve are what make our ministry a beacon of hope. Your commitment to helping us feed and love others is a beautiful testament to the heart of Christ.
We’re reminded of Matthew 25:35-40, where Jesus says: “‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
This passage sums up the essence of our mission here at Kitchen One for One. Each meal we prepare, every person we serve, and every smile we share reflects God's love. Your hands and hearts are instruments of His grace and make a real, tangible difference in the lives of those we minister to.
In a world that often feels a bit off, especially in some of the places we take the truck, you bring faith, hope, and love. Your dedication helps to ensure that wherever our truck goes, every person knows they are seen, valued, and cared for.
We want to express our deepest gratitude for your commitment to the Kitchen One for One mission. You are the backbone of this ministry, and your efforts are incredibly appreciated. We couldn’t do this without each and every one of you. You are needed, valued, and cherished not only by us but by God Himself.
This Thanksgiving, please remember the impact you make on the world around you. Continue to embrace the calling to serve and love with the same generosity and kindness that Christ shows us. Together, we are building God’s Kingdom here on earth… one taco, one smile, and one loving act at a time.
