Get Involved!

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:40

We serve an incredible God who invites us to participate in His work. He invites us to be co-laborers with Him and each other in the Gospel.

One of the biggest aspects of Kitchen One for One, and one of our greatest contributions into the Kingdom of God, is all the volunteer opportunities we provide each month... opportunities for people to participate in the Lord’s work… opportunities for people to get involved!

Volunteering and serving others is deeply meaningful as it opens up avenues for the Holy Spirit to operate in and through us. Here are some reasons why everyone should consider volunteering as much as possible:

  • In Scripture, Jesus encourages believers to serve others. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus says, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Volunteering allows us to live out this commandment by helping those in need.

  • Jesus Himself was a servant. He washed His disciples’ feet, healed the sick, and fed the hungry. By volunteering, we follow His example and demonstrate His love to others.

  • It provides an opportunity to show compassion and empathy. When we serve, we connect with people’s needs. It’s a chance to walk alongside others and offer practical help.

  • It allows us to build relationships with others. It creates a sense of community and unity as we work together for a common cause.

  • As stewards of God’s blessings, we can use your time, talents, and resources to benefit others. Volunteering is a way to invest in something greater than ourselves.

  • Serving others deepens our faith. It humbles us, teaches patience, and helps us rely on God’s strength. It also provides opportunities for prayer, reflection, and growth.

  • It opens doors for sharing our faith. When people see our love in action, it gives us a chance to share the hope we have in Christ.

So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and get involved!
