Advent: Experiencing the Joy

As we enter this third week of Advent, we reflect on the theme of joy. It's a time to celebrate the underlying joy that comes from our faith in Jesus Christ and to share that joy with those around us.

In Luke’s account of the birth of Christ, we find the angel's announcement that the long-awaited Messiah has come… that our Savior is born… that God is with us.

The message of great joy is for all of us. It’s a reminder that Jesus is the ultimate source of our joy. Despite the challenges and hardships we face, the joy of knowing that our Savior is with us should bring light and hope to our hearts.

At Kitchen One for One, we want to reflect this joy in our service. Each meal prepared and served is an opportunity to share the love of Christ with others. We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers and supporters who embody this joy through their generous hearts and willing hands. Their dedication and compassion are a testament to the joy that comes from serving others.

As we continue to serve together, let’s remember that our efforts, no matter how small they may seem, are significant in God's Kingdom. Every act of kindness, every smile, and every meal shared is a reflection of the joy we have in Christ.
